Satisfaction there the bearer Black Girl about Eighteen years of age & the Name of Rachel Smith was born a free woman and was raised in the County aforesaid the said Rachel is about five feet two and one half Inches high & Witness whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of my office this first day of august 1808 JLoockerman Clk State of Maryland Talbot County To wit I hereby certify that Sam.l Troth a respectable citizen of the County & State afs.d came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mullatto woman who calls herself Alsey Roberts about nineteen years of age five feet two inches high with a mole on the back of her neck was born free and that the said Mullatto woman Alsey Roberts was raised in the County and State afs.d In Testimony &.c this 25.th day of Aug.t Anno Dom 1809 JLoockerman Cl M.d Talbot County To wit I hereby certify that William Fish of said County and State came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black woman who calls herself Rebecca and who is now about twenty nine years of age five feet six inches and an half high without any notable scars is the identical person named in a Manumission from John Flemming to sundry negroes & which is duly executed and recorded among the Land records of Talbot County aforesaid where the said Rebecca was raised In Testimony &.c this 10.th Feby 1810 JL |
