State of maryland Harford County To wit
             I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof Negro Malissa
       five feet five and a half Inches High about thirty
       five years of age of a Dark complexion became free
       on the thirteenth day of November Eighteen hundred
       and twenty six in virtue of a Deed of Manumission
       made by Neomi Matthews duly executed and Recorded
       among the Land Records of Harford County Court
       the said Negro Malissa has a Scar on her left
       Cheek near the Chin and the little Fingure of
       her right hand Crooked said to be occasioned by a
       Cut and was raised in the County aforesaid  In Testimony
       whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and
       affixed the Seal of my office this second day of December
       Eighteen hundred and twenty six

with a scar on the middle Joint of the fore
finger on the left hand and both his little
fingers Crooked became free on the twenty
seventh day of February Eighteen hundred
and twenty seven in virtue of a Deed of manumission
made by Susan Bradford duly
executed and recorded among the land
