old is about five feet one and a quarter inches high very black and corpulant woman has lost the first Joint of the third finger on the right hand and has a scar on her forehead was born and raised in Harford County In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office this ninth Day of October Eighteen hundred and twenty six Identified by Henry Dorsey Clk Harford County Court Henry G Watters State of Maryland Harford County ss I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof negro Fanny Wells five feet two inches high about forty years of age became free by Virtue of a deed of manumission made by John McKenney on the Eleventh day of October Eighteen hundred & twenty six and recorded among the land records of Harford County Court on the date aforesaid The said negro Fanny Wells is of a dark Complexion and Robusk with one or two small scars on her left arm near the plan and occasioned by enoculation for the small pox and was raised in Harford County In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office this eleventh day of September ^Octr^ 1820 Identified by Henry Dorsey Clk H.d Coty Cot John McKenney |
