       State of Maryland Harford County To Wit
I hereby Certify that the bearer Negro Sam five feet five Inches
high about Twenty five years of age with a scar above his right
Eye round face and Dark Complexion he becam free by virtue
of a Deed of manumission made by Bernard Preston on the
27.th Day of October seventeen hundred and Eighty Two
Duly Executed and recorded amongst the Land records of
Harford County Court
                               In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set
                               my hand affixed the seal of my office this
                               fourth Day of March Eighteen hundred and
                               Twenty five                  Henry Dorsey Clk
                                                                      Harfd Coty Court

State of Maryland Harford County Sct:

             I hereby Certify that negro Bill Harris the bearer hereof between Thirty and
Thirty Three years of age about Five feet Seven and three quarters inches high of a black
complexion tinged with yellow having a horizontal scar just below the left cheek bone ^and one on the Second toe of the right foot^
born in Harford County is a free man and became so in virtue of a deed of manumission
executed this day by Joseph Stevenson and recorded among the Land
records of Harford County Court
                         In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix the
                         Seal of my Office on this First day of June in the year of our
                         Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Twenty Five
