State of Maryland Harford County Sct
            I hereby Certify that negro Hetty Bradford the bearer hereof aged
about Twenty Seven years Six about Five feet Six inches and a quarter high of a
yellowish complexion rather prominent eyes and mouth having the little finger of the
right hand crooked at the second Joint the daughter of Nancy who was manumitted
by Richard Dallam by a deed of manumission dated on the Twenty Seventh day
of February Seventeen hundred and Eighty Seven recorded in Liber J L G No H
Folio 57 One of the land record books of Harford County Court is free and
became so in virtue of the aforesaid deed of manumission
          In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix the seal of
          my office on this Third day of November in the year of our Lord
          One thousand Eight hundred and Twenty Four

                I hereby Certify that Elizabeth Cowen ^the bearer hereof^ a mulatto woman aged about Twenty
Seven years about Five feet two and a half Inches high having a scar on the outer side of her
left leg about the size of a half dollar occasioned by a burn is a free woman
                In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix the seal of My Office
                on this Tenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight
                hundred and Twenty Five
