                                Mulattoe Enos Riley

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
                I hereby Certify that the bearer ^hereof^ Enos Riley (a mullatoe)
six feet and three quarters of an inch high about twenty one
years of age of a yellow complexion by trade a black smith
was born free      The said Enos Riley has a scar on
the forefinger of the right hand and one on the fore finger
of the left hand and was raised in the county aforesaid
    In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the seal of my office this fourth day of November in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eight

as p.r affidavit filed


                               Negro Abraham

State of Maryland   Harford County to wit
                      I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro
Abraham five feet ten a quarter inches high about
forty five years of age of a black complexion became
free on the seventh day of January in the year Eighteen
hundred and nine in virtue of a deed of manumission
made by Aquila Preston of the County
aforesaid and duly executed and recorded
       The said negro Abraham has a scar between the
joint of the wrist and thumb of the left hand
and three scars between the eyebrows is square
made and was raised in the county aforesaid
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed the seal of my Office this twelfth day of
April Eighteen hundred and eight

being personally known by
me it supercedes the
necessity of his being sworn to
