has two small scars on her right eyebrow and another
scar about an inch above the ^same^ eye brow ^(and a mole near the right side of her nose and)^ became free
by virtue of a deed of manumission from William R
Brook bearing date the ninth day of November in
the year eighteen hundred and thirty seven and recorded
in Liber H. D. No. 20 folio 195 one of the Land Record Books of
Harford County Court
                      In testimony whereof I have hereunto set
                   my hand and affixed the seal of Harford County
                   Court this 24th day of August 1841

                         Negro Mary Jane Giles

State of Maryland Harford County to wit:
                I hereby certify that the bearer hereof ^Negro^ Mary Jane Giles
about Eighteen years of age five feet four ^3½^ inches high & of light complexion
was was born free & is now free
                       In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand &
             affix the seal this of Harford County Court this 31st day of
                August 1841                                       Henry Dorsey Clk

                            Negro Jenney Hops

    State of Maryland Harford County to wit:
                   I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro Jenney
Hops about forty eight years of age of Dark Complexion
five feet three inches high with a Scar over her right eye
severing her eye brow became free by virtue of
a Deed of Manumission ^executed by^ from George William
Hall ^on the 1st day of January 1832^ recorded in Liber H. D. No. 15 folio 122 one
of the Land Record Books of Harford County Court
                   In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe
                   my name and affix the seal  
                   of Harford County Court this 23rd
                   of Octr 1841
