outside of his right leg caused by the cut of a scythe and another small scar on the top of his right foot was born free and raised in Harford County Maryland and is the son of Negro Rachel who was manumitted by John Hooper of Caroline County In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my name and affix the seal of Harford County Court on this eighteenth day of August in the year eighteen hundred and forty tone Henry Dorsey Clk Identified by William W. Dorney Negro Charles Flint State of Maryland Harford County to wit I hereby certify that Negro Charles Flint the bearer hereof aged about thirty six years five feet five inches high of a dark complexion was born in Harford County Maryland and became free by virtue of a deed of manumission from William Allen bearing date the 26th day of March 1841 and recorded in Liber H. D. No. 24 folio 298 one of the Land Record Books of Harford County Court and that said negro has the following marks on him to wit two scars on the outside of his left arm below the elbow one scar on the top of his right foot one scar on the inside of his left foot caused by the cutting of an axe and one other scar from the kick of a horse below the right knee I testimony whereof I have hereto subscribe my name & affix the seal of Harford County Court this 23rd day of August 1841 Identified by Robert Bolton Henry Dorsey Clk Negro Eliza State of Maryland Harford County to wit I hereby certify that Negro Eliza the bearer hereof ^aged^ about forty six years ^about five feet 4¾ inches high^ of age of a dark complexion |
