                    Negro Henry Smith

State of Maryland Harford County Sct
                      I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro
Henry Smith about thirty four years of age of a bright
yellow complexion five feet four inches high and stout made
the little finger of the right hand off and the fourth
finger of the same hand bent down to the palm of
the hand became free in virtue of a Deed of manumission
Executed by Robert H Archer on the Eighteenth
day of November Eighteen hundred and thirty six and
recorded among the land Record Books of Harford
County Court
                      In Testimony whereof I have hereto
                      subscribed my name and affixed
                      the seal of Harford County Court this
                      thirty first day of January Eighteen
                      hundred and thirty seven

in Harford County
                In testimony whereof I have hereto

                this tenth day of february Eighteen
                hundred and thirty seven
