98 Maryland Queen Anns County To wit whereas a certain negro man named Theodore has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1805 I do therefore certify to all persons whom it doth or may concern that by the last will and Testamt of a certain Geo Medford duly executed on the 17 day of September 1825 and proved in my Office on the 22d day of October in the same year a certain negro man named Theodore five feet ten Inches in heigth complexion black four scars on his breast reather high fore head & well made was manumitted and set free by the last will & Testament of the said Geo Medford His freedom to commence on the first day of Jany 1826 His person identified by a certain Wm Medford who is the Executor of the last will & Testamt of the said Geo Medford Given under my hand and the seal of my Office this 4th day of Jany 1826 Tho C Earle Rr Wills Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County To wit whereas a certain negro man named George has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1805 I do therefore certify to all persons whom it doth or may concern that by the |
