97 Negro Girl named Charlotte four feet eleven Inches and a half ^in heigth^ dark complexion nearly black a small scar in the centre of her forehead a Scar on her right arm just above the Elbow another scar directly on the joint of the Elbow of her right arm said ^to be^ occasioned by a burn two scars on the left side of her neck was manumitted and set free by the last will & Testamt of the said Arthur Emory her freedom to commence after she shall have served eleven years Her person identified by a certain Doctr John D Emory the Executor of the said Arthur Emory. Given under my hand and the seal of my Office this 27.th day of Octr Anno Domini 1825 (Seal) Tho C Earle Rr Wills Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit whereas application has been made to me by a certain negro man named Simon for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1805. I do therefore Certify to all persons whom it doth or may concern that in the last will & Testamt of a certain Edmond Farrell duly executed on the 19 day of Jany 1810 and proved in my Office on the 16 day of July in the same year there is a bequest to his wife Elisabeth |
