96 Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1805 I do therefore certify to all persons whom it doth or may concern that by the last will and Testament of a certain Thomas Elliott duly executed on the 2d day of November 1813 and proved in my Office on the 24th day of May 1814 a certain negro man named Jeffry five feet five inches and a half in heigth Black complexion a scar on the left arm occasioned by a burn and a small scar over the left eye was manumited and set free by the last will and Testament of the said Tho Elliott His freedom to commence when he shall have attained the age of thirty one years By the Inventory of the personal Estate of the said Tho Elliott dated the 10.th day of September 1814 the said negro man Jeffry was then said to be 20 years of age His person identified by a certain James L Bryan Given under my hand and the seal of my Office this 20.th day of October Anno Domini 1825 Tho C Earle Rr Wills (Seal) Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County To Wit Whereas a certain negro woman named Charlotte has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1085 I do therefore certify to all persons whom it doth or may concern that by the last will & Testamt of a certain Arthur Emory duly executed on the 8.th day of March 1807 and proved in my Office on the 7.th day of April in the same year a certain |
