92 Maryland Queen Anns County To wit whereas a certain negro man named Charles has made application to me for a certificate of Maryland passed at November Session 1805. I do therefore hereby certify to all persons whom it doth or may concern that by the last will & Testament of a certain Clarissa E Meconekin duly executed on the twenty seventh day of April Eighteen hundred & two and proved in my Office on the 18.th day of December in the same year a certain negro named Charles five feet four inches and a half in heigth a bright mulatto long black hair inclined to curl a mole near the corner of his right Eye brow a slight scar on his neck just below his right Ear was manumitted and set free by the last will & Testament of the said Clarissa E Meconekin his freedom to commence on the Christmas after he attains the age of twenty five years he being at the time of the executed of said will about seven years old. His person identified by a certain William E Meconekin the Executor appointed by the last will & Testamt of the said Clarissa E Meconekin Given under my hand and the seal of my Office this 10.th day (Seal) of May Anno Domini 1825 Tho C Earle Rr Wills Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County To wit Whereas a certain negro man named Charles commonly called Charles Wickes has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an act ot the General Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1805 I do therefore |
