91 by a certain John Davidge Emory the executor named in the said will Given under my hand & the seal of my Office this 2d day of May Anno Domini Eighteen hundred & twenty five P Tho C Earle Rr Wills Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit Whereas a certain negro man named Saul has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1805 I do therefore certify to all whom it doth or may concern that by the last will & Testament of a certain Philip Feddeman duly executed on the 18.th day of July in the year 1821 and proved in my Office on the 22d day of January 1822 a certain negro man named Saul of a dark complexion five feet three inches and a half in heigth a scar on the inside of the right arm near the elbow joint a scar on his left cheek when he laughs shews his upper fore teeth and gums very much was manumitted and set free by the last will & Testament of the said Philip Feddeman his freedom to commence on the first day of January next following the decease of the said Philip Feddeman. His person identified by a certain Philip Henry Feddeman the Executor of the last will & Testamt of the said Philip Feddeman Given under my hand & the seal of my (Seal) Office this 4.th day of May Anno Domini 1825 Tho C Earle Rr Wills Queen Anns County |
