87 State of Maryland Queen Anns County To Wit whereas a certain Negro Man named Caleb has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1805. I do therefore certify to all whom it doth or may concern that by the last Will and Testament of a certain Benjamin Blunt duly executed on the 16.th day of September in the year 1811 and proved in my office on the 22d day of October in the same year a certain Negro Man named Caleb five feet Six Inches and one half of an Inch in heigth complexion black a scar just above the left eye brow flat nose thick lips heavy eye bushy head & usually wears whiskers was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of the said Benjamin Blunt his freedom to commence in twelve years from the first day of Jany next after the execution of the ^said^ last Will & Testament of ^the said^ Benja Blunt aforesaid. His person identified by a certain Tho W Hopper.
