82 Maryland Queen Anns County To wit Whereas a certain negro man named Jim has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of maryland passed at November Session 1805 I do therefore Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that by the last will & Testament of a certain Priscilla Wilmer late of Queen Anns County deceased duly executed on the 23d day of March Eighteen hundred & thirteen and proved in my Office on the 28.th day of May Eighteen hundred & fourteen a certain negro man named Jim of a mulatto or yellowish complexion five feet four inches & one fourth of an inch in height a scar on his left wrist occasioned by a burn large features & bushy head was manumitted & set free by the last will & Testament of the said Priscilla Wilmer his freedom to commence on the 1.st day of January 1823. His person identified by a certain Pere Wilmer who was ^is^ the Executor by the said will appointed.
