    State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                whereas a certain negro man named
George has made application to me for a certificate
of freedom under an act of the General
Assembly of maryland passed at November Session
1805      I do therefore Certify to all whom it doth
or may concern that by the last will & Testament
of a certain Philip Feddeman late of Queen Anns
County deceased duly executed on the 18.th day of
July Eighteen hundred & twenty one and proved
in my office on the 22d day of January Eighteen
hundred & twenty two a certain negro man named
George ^of a dark complexion large flat nose compact & close build five feet three
inches and ¼ of an inch in height who was^
included in the following Clause in the Said last Will
& Testament" All my other negroes not herein before bequeathed
under the age of twenty Eight years at the time of my death including
the negroes my Son in law ^Mr^ Robert Wright has had the
use and possession of my Will is Shall be free at that age and
my negroes Hannabal Saul Betty and Nancy Cain and Hetty
McDaniel and all my other Negroes not herein before
bequeathed in my possession is in the possession of my Said Son
in law over the age of twenty eight Years but under the age of
forty five Years at my death it is my desire Shall be free
on the first day of January next following my decease"
was manumited and set free by the last will & Testamt
of the said Philip Feddeman   His freedom to commence
on the 1.st day of Jany 1823  His freedom identified by a
certain Philip Henry Feddeman who is the Executor
appointed by the said last will & Testament of Philip
Feddeman & to whom Letters Testamentary have been
granted   Given under my hand & the seal of my
office this 10.th day of May Anno Domini 1825
