76 The State of Maryland Queen Anns County To Wit Whereas a Certain Negro woman named Beck has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of maryland passed at November Session Eighteen hundred & five I do therefore certify to all whom it doth or may concern that by the last will & Testament of a certain Sarah Tillotson late of Queen Anns County deceased duly executed on the tenth day of March in the year Seventeen hundred & ninety five and proved in my office on the first day of April Seventeen hundred and ninety five a certain negro Girl named Beck of a dark complexion five feet six inches high was manumitted & Set free by the last will & Testament of the said Sarah Tillotson her freedom to commence on the first day of may eighteen hundred and thirteen Her person identified by a certain Frances Emory Given under my hand & Seal this 17.th day of April Eighteen hundred & twenty two Tho C Earle Regr Wills Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit whereas a certain negro woman named Minty has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an Act of ^the General^ Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session Eighteen hundred & five I do therefore certify to all whom it doth or may concern that by the last will and Testament of a certain William Merchant late of Queen Anns County deceased duly executed on the 21.st day of June 1803 and proved in my office on the 31.st day of October in the same |
