to me for a Certificate of her being a free person I do therefore
hereby certify that the Said negro woman Kate is about
four feet eleven Inches and one fourth of an Inch hig of a
dark complexion well made has a natural Scar on the
bozom her upper teeth much broken and decayed Was
manumitted and set free her freedom to commence after her
having served the term of years which she was sold to the
above named Philip Kennard her person Identified by a
certain Pere Wilmer of Centreville
                In Testimony of this twenty eighth day of may
                   eighteen hundred & twenty
                            Thos C Earle Regr Queen Anns County


                State of maryland Queen Anns County
To wit
          whereas a certain negro woman named Ann
has made application to me for a certificate of
freedom under an Act of the General Assembly
of this State passed November Session Eighteen
hundred & five      I do therefore Certify to all
persons whom it doth or may concern that by the
last Will & Testament of a certain Sarah
morton late of Queen Anns County deceased duly
executed on the 24th day of may Eighteen hundred
& twenty and proved in my office on the 3d day
of April Eighteen hundred & twenty one a certain
negro woman named Ann of dark complexion
five feet two & one fourth Inches high was manumitted
& set free by the last Will & Testament of
the said Sarah morton her freedom to commence
on the first day of January Eighteen hundred and
twenty two   Her person identified by a certain
Thomas murphy      Given under my hand
& Seal this fifth day of March eighteen hundred
& twenty two                  Tho C Earle Regr
                                        Wills Q Anns County
