71 The state of Maryland Queen Ann County to Wit I do hereby Certify to all persons whom it doth or may Concern that by the last will and testament of a Certain John Whitttington late of Queen Ann County deceased proved in my office on the 11th of August seventeen hundred and ninety five A Certain Negro man named Pere of very dark Complexion five feet nine inches and a half an inch high has a scar on the second Joint of the left thumb occasioned by a cut and on Other upon the left eyebrow no other vizable Was set free his freedom to Commence after the age of twenty five years he ^being^ upwards of twenty seven years of age this 4th of October 1819 his person identified by a Certain Robert Carson of Queen Ann County In Testimony &c This 4th of October 1819 Thos C Earle Reg Queen Anns County The State of Maryland Q A County to Wit I do hereby Certify to all persons whom it doth or may Concern that by the Last Will and testament of A certain George Downes late of Q A County deceased proved in my Office on the 19th of march 1805 A certain Negro man named Peter dark Complexion five feet four and a half inches in height has two Scars on the back part of his head Occasioned from having been Cut no Others Vizible Aged 23 years was Set free his freedom to Commence after a Servitude of fifteen years his person Identified by a Certain valentine Downy of Q A County In testimony whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my name &c 18th march 1820 Thos C Earle Regr Q A County The State of Maryland Queen Anns County to Wit I hereby Certify to all persons whom it doth or may concern that by the Last will and testament of a certain Priscilla Wilmer late of Queen Anns County deceased duly executed on the twenty third day of march in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and thirteen and proved in my office on the twenty eighth day of March Eighteen hundred and fourteen after mentioned by name a number of negroes makes the following disposition the negroes that I Sold Mr Philip Kennard of Kent county I will to be free at the expiration of the respective time of years for which they are Sold and whereas the Said Philip Kennard has forwarded to me a certificate Certifying that a certain negro woman named Kate I Sold has served the time for which she was Sold to him and the Said negro Kate having made application |
