The State of Maryland Queen Anns County To Wit
    Whereas application hath this day been made to me by a
Certain Negro Woman who calls herself Maria for a Certificate
of her freedom   This is therefore to certify to all persons whom
it doth or may concern that by the last will and Testament
of a Certain Elizabeth Harris late of Queen Anns County deceased
duly executed on the seventh day of April 1814 and proved in
my office on the tenth day of May of the same year a Certain
Negro Woman named Maria of a yellowish complexion
about thirty two years of age five feet three and half Inches
high has Two scars occasioned by Burns one above and the
other below the Elbow Was manumitted & Set free her
freedom to commence at the death of the Testatrix her
person Identified by a Certain Henry Wilmer of the
County afs.d    In Testimony &c this 7 Oct 1818
                                    Tho C Earle Rg Wills Q A County

    The State of Maryland Queen Anns County to Wit  Whereas
application has this day been made to me by a certain Negro Man
named Perry for a certificate of his being a free person  This is
therefore to Certify that to all persons whom it doth or may concern
that by the last Will and Testament of a Certain Thomas Baxter
late of Queen Anns County deceased proved and of Record in my
office bearing date the 20 day of August 1805 a Certain Negro
Boy named Perry who is now about thirty one years old of a
yellowish ^dark^ complexion stout made five feet elven inches and
one half Inches high has a scar on the his ^left^ eye brows and
one on the right ankle occasioned by a Cut Was manumitted
and set free his freedom to commence at the age of twenty
seven years    his person identified by a Certain
James Hopkins of said County
