Certain Edward Beck late of Queen Anns County deceased
duly executed on the 17th day of August 1811 and proved
in my office on the 23d day of November 1816 a Certain
Negro Man named "Julius Ceasar" of a Dark Complexion
about forty three years of age a little grey headed has
a scar on the left rist is five feet three inches and three
fourths of an inch high  Was manumitted and set free
his freedom to Commence on the Christmas day following
the death of the Testator      his person identified by
the oath of a Certain John Browne
       In Testimony &c this 3rd day of August 1818

    Whereas Negro Adam has this day been made to me
by a Certain Negro Man named Adam for a Certificate of his
freedom I do therefore hereby Certify to all persons whom it doth
or may concern that by the last Will and Testament of a
Certain Jacob Cruson late of Queen Anns County deceased
duly executed on the proved in my office on the 15 day of
December 1810 a Certain Negro Man named Adam
of a Yellowish Complexion stout make five feet 37
Inches high about twenty four years of age small scar
on the Calf of the left Legg Was Manumitted and set
free his freedom to commence after his ^labour^ having been worth
one hundred pounds to the Testators Estate a Release
from his ^the testator^ being now before his person identified
by the Oath of a Certain Richard Haltiss
             In Testimony &c this 29 Augt 1818
