45 Negro Woman named Easter of a very dark complexion about Forty years of age four feet eleven inches high she has no visable mark rocks very much when walking Was manumitted and set free her freedom to Commence on the death of his wife Mary A Rage which happened in the latterpart of the past year her person Identified by the oath of a Certain Sam Gould Sept 17 1816 The State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit Whereas application hath been made to me by a Certain Negro Man named Moses for a Certificate of his freedom I do therefore in pursuance of an act of the General assembly of this State passed at November session Eighteen hundred and five hereby certify that by the last Will and Testament of a Certain Richard Hall duly Executed on the 7th day of April 1809 and proved in my office on the 3rd day of June 1809 A Certain Negro Boy named Moses of a dark complexion about Twenty five years of age five feet three inches and three fourths of an inch high has a scar under the right eye and the third finger on the right hand crippled in the third Joint and is crooked was manumitted and set free his freedom to commence after serving seven years from the Execution of said Will his person Identified by the oath of a Certain James B Williams October 8.th 1816 Tho C Earle Reg Wills The State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I do hereby Certify all persons whom it doth or may that by the last Will and Testament of a Certain John Whittington late of Queen Anns County deceased duly executed on the 27th day of February 1795 and proved in my office on the 11th day of August 1795 is contained the following devise &c |
