39 The State of Maryland Queen anns County To wit Whereas application has been made to me by a Certain negro ^Wo^Man named Revell ^Rhode^ for a certificate of her freedom under an an act of the General assembly of this state This is therefore to certify to all whom it doth or may concern that by the last Will and Testament of a certain Isaac Jump late of Queen anns County deceased duly executed on the 17th day of May 1802 and proved in my office on the 18th day of June in the same year a certain Negro Woman named Rhode of a yellowish Complexion five feet one Inch and seven eighths of an Inch high about thirty eight years of age She Hath a scar on the left arm above the elbow occasioned by the anoculation of the small pox is tolerably well made Was manumitted and set free her freedom to commence at the Expiration of Ten years from the death of the Testator her person Identified by the oath of a certain Elizabeth Abbott In Testimony &.c this 28 March 1816 Thos C Earle Reg Wills Q A Coty The State of Maryland Queen anns County To wit Whereas application has been made to me by a certain negro Man named Harry for a Certificate of his his freedom under an act of the general assembly of this state passed at their November session Eighteen hundred and five and Whereas it appears to me by Record in my office that the said Negro Man Harry did heretofore To wit on the fourth day of June eighteen hundred and Twelve obtain from the then Register of Wills for Queen anns County such Certificate and again on the fourth day of May Eighteen hundred and fourteen it appears by the authority aforesaid that a second Certificate was granted to the said Negro Man Harry by reason of satisfactory proof of his loosing the |
