38 The State of Maryland Queen anns County To wit Whereas application has been made to me by Neg a certain negro Man named Harry alias Harry Moody for a certificate of his freedom under the an act of the General assembly of this State This is therefore to certify to all whom it doth or may concern that by the last Will and Testament of a certain William Willson Emory late of Queen anns County deceased duly Executed on the twenty seventh day of October seventeen hundred and ninety four and proved in my office on the sixteenth day of December in the same year a certain negro Boy named Harry of a dark complexion [illegible] at thirty five years of age is five feet nine Inches high and who hath a scar in the Joint of the foreginger on the right hand and small scar on the breast a high forehead and well made was manumitted and set free his freedom to commence on the twenty fifth day of December In the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Ten and who is well known by the subscriber to be the Identical person named in the said Will In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my name and seal this 4.th day of March 1816 Thomas C Earle Reg Wills Queen anns County |
