The State of Maryland Queen anns County court
I do hereby certify all persons whom it doth or may
concern that by the last will and Testament of a
Certain William Rage late of Queen anns County
deceased duly executed on the 8th day of June 1809
and proved in my office on the first day of July in
the same year a certain negro man named
Perry of a yellowish complexion five feet three
Inches and a half high about Thirty five
years of age hath a scar on the forehead a
scar on the corner of the left eye and one on the ^back^
^of the^ right hand was manumitted and set free his
freedom to commence at the death of his wife
Ann Mary Rage who departed this life on the
1.st day of this Inst his person identified by
the oath of a certain John May
                     In Testimony &c this 5th Dec
                     1815
