36 of Twenty one years he is of a dark complexion he is identified to be the same person by the Testimony of John W Bordley Esquire who states that he was raised and resides in the county aforesaid as a free born negro Adam is five feet seven ^eight^ inches and 7/8 high hath a scar over the left eye and one on the upper lip is now about thirty three years of age In Testimony &c 23 augt 1815 Thomas C Earle Reg Wills The State of Maryland Queen anns County To wit I do hereby certify all persons whom it doth or may concern by that by the last Will and Testament of a certain Arthur Emory late of Queen anns County deceased duly executed on the eighth day of March one thousand eight hundred and seven and proved in my office on the tenth day of April in the same year a certain negro woman named Rachel of a very dark complexion five feet three inches high hath a scar on the left arm occasioned by enoculation two other scars on the right arm occasioned by a burn the ball of her thumb on the right hand partly gone which was occasioned by a whitlow was manumitted and set free her freedom to commence at the expiration of Seven years from the death of the Testator |
