The State of Maryland Queen anns County To wit
I do hereby certify all whom it doth or may concern
that the negro James alias James Fox the bearer
hereof of a very dark complexion FIve feet eleven and
three fourth Inches high hath a remarkable flesh
mark or wart on the back of the neck and a scar
on the left arm a brod flat nose is about twenty
two years of age is a free Man by birth dana resides
in Queen anns County in the state aforesaid and
satisfactorilly proved by the the oath of a certain
John Lawrence of the county aforesaid to be the
Identical person above discribed
    In Testimony &c this 16.th June 1815
                   Thomas C Earle Reg Wills Q A C

The State of Maryland Queen anns County to wit
I do hereby certify all persons whom it doth or may
concern that by the last Will and Testament of
a Certain Sarah Price late of Queen anns County
deceased duly executed on the 17th day of September 1807
and proved in my office on the 27th day of the same
month in the same year a Certain negro Man
named Joshua of a Dark complexion Five feet
two Inches high about Twenty Six years of age
hath a scar on the ^right^ left rist and one on occasioned
by a burn and one on the right temple was manumitted
and set free his freedom to commence at
his age of Twenty three years and proved by the
Oath of a Certain Richard Moffett to be the
Identical person mentioned in said will
                In Testimony &c this 24 day of
                   June 1815
