3 Queen Anns County this 16th day of September 1807 W.m H Nicholson Regr Q A County Maryland sst I do hereby certify that by the last will and Testament of a certain Coll Arthur Emory duly Executed on the seventh day of September in the year seventeen hundred and ninety nine and proved in my office on the eighteenth day of september eighteen hundred and one a certain negro named cuff of dark complexion with a large scar on his left leg on the shin and a scar on the end of his fore finger on the right hand five feet eight Inches height and thirty eight years of age last March was manumitted and set free his freedom to commence on the twenty fifth day of December Eighteen hundred and five and proved by the oath of John Wells Emory the son of the s.d Arthur Emory dec.d to be the Identical person specefied in said Will In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my
Maryland sc I do hereby certify that by the last will and Testament of a certain Jacob Barnes late of Queen Anns county deceased duly Executed in June 1799 and proved in my office on the 10.th December 1799 a certain negro named Cesar of Black complexion five feet seven Inches and six eighths high two and thirty years of age with a scar on the corner of his right eye was manumitted and set free his freedom to commence on the first January in the year Eighteen hundred and eight and proved by the oath of Thomas Barnes to be the Identical Boy specefied in said will |
