    State of Maryland         I hereby certify that a certain
Queen Anns County to wit       negro woman now about
years of age five feet three & a quarter inches high of a
dark complexion & has a scar on on her right shoulder
was manumitted & set free by the last will and testament
of a certain John E Denny dated on the 6th day
of February 1822 and admitted to probat in my office
on the 12th day of May 1827  her freedom to commence
on the 1st day of January 1848  her person
Identified by the evidence of a certain Aaron M Adelett
                         In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
                         set my name and affixed the
                         seal of my office this 23rd day of
                         may 1848   Lem.l Roberts
                                                 Reg Wills
                                           for Queen Anns County


State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
             I hereby certify that a certain negro
man named Samuel now about twenty two
years of age five feet six and a half inches
high of dark complexion and has a scar
on his forehead was manumitted and set
free by the last will and Testement of a
certain Alfred Jones dated 15.th February
1831 and admitted to probat in my office
on the 18th day of April 1831 his freedom to
commence after the death of the said Alfred
Jones widow  his person Identified by a
certain Samuel Bryan
           In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
           set my name and affixed
           the seal of my office this 6th
           day June 1848
