261 State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a Certain negro woman named Moriah now about 28 years old 5 feet 4 inches high of dark complexion & has is without any scars and being the issue of Till was manumitted & set free by the last will and testament of a certain Peter Denny dated 19th May 1804 and admitted to probat in my office on the 22nd September 1804 her freedom to commence at the age of twenty five years of age her person identified by the evidence of a certain Frances Ann Neavitt In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name & affixed (Seal) the seal of my office this 25th day of April 1848 L Roberts Reg wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain bound negro boy named Asbury Tilghman now about twenty four years old according to the Indentures of apprenticeship recorded in this office and consequently he is now freed said boy is five feet six and a half inches high of dark complexion and has a scar above the out corner of his left eye his freedom commenced on the 20.th day september 1844 his person Identified by a certain George Spry In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal (Seal) of my office this 9.th day of May 1848 Leml Roberts Regr wills for Queen Anns County |
