260 Maryland Queen Anns County to Wit I hereby certify that a certain Negro man named Dick Johnson now about thirty years old five feet three & a half inches high of dark complexion and has a small scar on his left cheek near the ear was manumitted & set free by the last will and testament of a certain Ann Carradine dated 7th Nov.r 1840 and admitted to probat in my office on the 8th day of December of said year his freedom to commence on that the age of thirty years old his person identified by the evidence of a certain Mary Story In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my office this 14th day of February 1848 Lem.l Roberts Reg wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Lucy now about twenty seven years old five feet & one inch high of dark complexion and has a scar on her forehead was manumitted & set free by the last will and Testament of a certain Frances Emory ^late of Queen Anns County decd^ dated 20th march 1822 and admitted to probat in my office on the 24th day of September 1822 her freedom to commence when she is twenty five years old her person identified by the evidence of John C Ruth Esqr In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my office this 15th day of February 1848 Lem.l Roberts Reg wills for Queen Anns County |
