258 State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Beck five feet four & a half inches high of light complexion and without any scars was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of a certain Benjamin Wiggins dated 17th December 1823 & admitted to probat in my office on the 13th day of July 1825 her freedom to commence at the last of the year Eighteen hundred and forty seven her person identified by the Evidence of a certain James Wiggins In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my office (Seal) this 1st day of January 1848 Lem.l Roberts Regr wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Ann now about twenty six years old five feet two & a half inches high of light complexion & has two or three small scars on her right wrist was manumitted & set free by the last will and testament of a certain of a certain Philemon Spencer dated 19th June 1828 & admitted to probat in my office on the 8th of July 1828 her freedom to commence on the expiration of the year Eighteen hundred & forty seven her person identified by the evidence of a certain In testimony whereof I have hereunto (Seal) set my name & affixed the seal of my office this 1st January 1848 Lem.l Roberts Reg wills for Queen Anns County |
