Maryland Queen Anns County to Wit

          I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named
Betty now about thirty five years of age five feet five inches
high of dark complexion & has a small scar on her forehead
was manumitted & set free by the last will and
testament of a certain Mary Vanderen dated 10th December
1837 & admitted to probat in my office on the 19th
December of the same year her freedom to commence
when she is thirty five years old her person Identified
by the Evidence of a certain Robert Carson
                In testimony whereof I have hereunto
                set my name & affixed the seal of my
(Seal)       office this 28th day of December 1847

       I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named
Sarah now about twenty eight years old five feet
two & a fourth inches high of light complexion & has
a scar on her right ^hand^ and some small ones on her left
hand & wrist  was manumitted & set free by the
last will & testament of a certain Philip Feddeman
dated 18th July 1821 & admitted to probat in my office
22nd January 1822 her freedom to commence at the age of
twenty eight years who  her person Identified by the
Evidence of a certain James T Earle
                      In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
                      set my name & affixed the seal of my
(Seal)             office this 29th day of December 1847
