254 Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain Negro man ^named^ Solomon five feet four inches high of light complexion & has a scar on his forehead was manumitted & set free by the last will & Testament of a certain John Brown of Nathan dated on the 20th day of December 1815 and admitted to probat in my office on the 23rd day of December 1815 his freedom to commence on the first day of January Eighteen hundred and forty one his Person Identified by the Evidence of a certain Thomas Brown In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name & affixed the seal of my office (Seal) this 10th day ^of^ August A. D. 1847 Leml Roberts Regr wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro man named Allen ^now about forty years old^ five feet four & a half inches high of dark complexion & has a small scar on his forehead was manumated & set free by the last will & Testament of a certain Mary McConekon dated 29th February 1828 and admitted to probat in my office 14th June 1837 his freedom to commence at the age of thirty five years old and his person identified by the Evidence of a certain William Temple (Seal) In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name & affixed the seal of my office this 4th day of November 1847 Lem.l Roberts Reg wills for Queen Anns County |
