253 Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I hereby certify that a certain negro man named James Now about twenty six years of age five feet six & a half inches in hight of dark complexion & has a small scar or two on his chin was manumitted & set free by the last will and testament of a certain Ann M Sellers dated 22nd October 1821 and admitted to probat in my office on the 4th day of November 1834 his freedom to commence at the age of twenty five years his person Identified & age proved by the evidence of a certain William Hopper In testimony whereof I have hereunto (Seal) set my name & affixed the seal of my office this 12th day of July 1847 Leml Roberts Reg wils for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro man named Daniel five feet five inches high of light complexion & has a scar on his right ankle & and another on his left fore finger was manumitted and set free by the last will & Testament of a certain John Brown of Nathan dated on the 20th December 1815 and admitted to probat in my office on the 23rd Dec.r 1815 his freedom to commence on the 1st day of January Eighteen hundred & forty six his person Identified by the Evidence of a certain Thomas Brown In testimony whereof I have hereunto (Seal) set my name & affixed the seal of my office this 10th day of August 1847 Leml Roberts Regr Wills for Queen Anns County |
