State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
          I hereby certify that a certain mulatto woman
named Adeline now about 31 years of age 5 feet 3½ inches
high dark complexion & has three small scars on her
left wrist was manumitted and set free by the
last will & testament of a certain Leml Purnell
dated 25th June 1846 and admitted to probat in
my office on the 18th November of the same year
her freedom to commence this 1st January 1847
her person identified by the evidence of Madison
Brown Esq.r
                         In testimony whereof I have
                         hereunto set my name & affixed
    (Seal)            the seal of my office
                         this 1st day of January 1846

                                           for Queen Anns County


State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
       I hereby certify that a certain negro man named
Frisby now about 33 years of age of light complexion
5 feet 6¼ inches high & has a scar on the Calf of his
left leg two others on his left arm & small one on
the right wrist was manumitted & set free by
the last will & testament of a certain Lemuel
Purnell dated 25th June 1846 and Admitted to probat
in my office on the 18th day of November 1846
his freedom to commence 1st January 1847
                      In testimony whereof I have
