    Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
I hereby certify that a certain mulatto man named
Joseph now about 21 years of age five feet eight & ¾
inches high & of light complexion & without any
scars or  was manumitted and set free by the last
will and testament of a certain Richard J Harrison
dated               and admitted to probat in my
office on the 6th day of December 1831  his freedom
to commence when he arrives at lawfull age
his ^age &^ person Identified by the evidence of a certain
W.m McKinny of John
                         In testimony whereof &c
(Seal)                     L Roberts    29th Decr 846
                                              Reg wills


State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
       I hereby Certify that a certain negro woman Charlotte
now about twenty three years old five feet four & a quarter
inches high of dark complexion & has a scar on her right
shoulder Blade was manumitted & set free by the
last will and testament of a certain John C Sparks
dated 14th day of July 1846 and admitted to probat
in my office on the 13th day of August 1845 her freedom
to commence at Christmas 1846 her person
Identified by the evidence of a certain Charles Potts
                               In testimony whereof I have
                               hereunto set my name and
(Seal)                      affixed the seal of my office
                               this 31st day of December 1846
