243 Maryland Queen Anns County Ss I hereby Certify that a certain negro woman named Hetty now about 35 years old five feet 2¼ inch high of dark complexion & without scars was manumitted & set free by the last will and testament of a certain Mary Kent dated 4th October 1841 & admitted to probat in my office on the 6th October 1846 her freedom to commence at the date of the death of Testatrix her person identified by the evidence of Doctr James K Harper In testimony whereof I have hereunto (Seal) set my name & affixed the seal of my office this 19th October 1846 Lem.l Roberts Reg wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby Certify that a certain ^mulatto^ negro woman named Hester five feet three ½ inches high about ^twenty^ thirty ^eight^ years old light complexion and has a ^some small^ scars on the top of her right foot was manumitted & set free by the last will & testament of a certain Elizabeth Herrington dated 11th June 1820 & admitted to probat in my office on the 7th day of May 1822 her freedom to commence when she is twenty Eight years old her person Identified by the evidence of a certain John Dyott In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my office this 1st day of Dec.r 1846 Leml Roberts Reg wills for Queen Anns County |
