State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit

    I hereby Certify that a certain mulatto man named Noah
now about twenty five years old five feet seven inches in hight
of very light complexion & has two scars on his forehead
and one on his upper lip was manumitted & set free
by ^a codicil to^ the last will and testament of a certain Alfred
Jones dated 15th February 1831 and admited to probat in
my office on the 18th april of the same year his freedom
to commence on the death of The testators wife who died
in the year 1846:  his person identified by the evidence
of a certain Samuel Bryan
                            In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
                            set my name and affixed the seal
(Seal)                   of my office this 28th August 1846

                                           for Queen Anns County


State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
             I hereby Certify that a certain negro woman
named Margaret now about thirty nine years
old five feet four & a quarter inches in hight
of dark complexion & has a scar on the right side
of her neck  was manumitted & set free by the last
will & testament of a certain Saml W Thomas dated
on the Elenventh August 1829 & admitted to probat
on the 26th day of the same month her freedom
to commence at the age of thirty five years  her
person Identified by the evidence of a certain miss
Sarah Tucker
                         In testimony whereof I have
                      hereunto set my name & affixed the
(Seal)            Seal of my office this 15th September

                                              for Queen Anns County
