State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
          I hereby Certify that a certain negro woman named
Harriet now about thirty two years old five feet one & ¾ inch
high dark complexion & has a scar or scars between her thumb
& forefinger of her right hand was manumitted & set free by
the last will and testament of a certain Ann Carradine
dated 20th Nov.r 1840 & admitted to probat in my office on
the 8th December of the same year her freedom to commence
when she is thirty years old her person identified
by the evidence of a certain Charles Gibson
                            In testimony whereof I have hereunto
(Seal)                   set my name and affixed the seal
                            of my office this 24th day of Augt 1846

dark complexion fife feet one & a half inches high
& has a ^small^ scar on her left eye brow  was manumitted
and set free by the last will and testament of
a certain Ann Carradine dated 20th Nov.r 1840 and
admitted to probat in my office on the 8th Decr 1840
her freedom to commence when she is thirty years
old her person Identified by the evidence of a certain
Charles Gibson
                   In testimony whereof I have hereunto
