240 Queen Anns County State of Maryland Sct I hereby Certify that a certain negro woman named Mahala five feet one & a half inches high of dark complexion and has a scar on the right side of her neck & one on her right foot about thirty Years old was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of a certain Goldsborough Price dated 7th Dec.r 1839 & admitted to probat in my office 14th January 1840 her freedom to commence at the age of thirty Years her person Identified by the Evidence of a certain Anderton B Peters In Testimony whereof I have hereunto (Seal) set my name and affixed the seal of my office this 15th day of June 1846 Leml Roberts Regr Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Nancy now about thirty four years of age of rather dark complexion five feet six & a half inches high and has a large scar or scars on her right arm above the elbow was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of of a certain Philip Feddeman dated 18th July 1821 and admitted to probat in my office 22nd day of January 1822 her freedom to commence when she was twenty eight years old her person Identified by the evidence of a certain Wm Biscoe In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed (Seal) the seal of my office this 12th day of August Anno Domini 1846 Leml Roberts Regr wills for Queen Anns County |
