24 no particular distinguishing mark was set free by the said will at her age of fourteen years her person Identified by James Corkrell Test Wm H Nicholson (seal) Regr Wills Q A County Jan.y 10.th 1814 Maryland sct I do hereby certify to whom it doth or may concern that by the last will & Testament of Jonathan Roberts duly executed on the twelfth day of November Seventeen hundred and ninety six and proved in my office on the twenty seventh day of Feby Seventeen hundred and ninety seven a certain Negro Girl named Ruth aged about twenty eight years four feet eleven and an half Inches high yellowish complexion has three fingers of her right hand contracted was manumitted & set free after the thirty first day of December Eighteen hundred and Seven her person identified by the Oath of Ann Kennard Test (Seal) W.m H Nicholson Reg May 9.th 1814 Queen Anns County Maryland sct I do hereby certify to whom it doth or may concern that by the last will & Testament of Jonathan Roberts duly executed on the twelfth day of November seventeen hundred and ninety six and proved in my Office on the twenty seventh day of July Seventeen hundred and ninety seven a certain negro man named William or Bill aged about twenty four years dark complexion five feet ten & one fourth Inches high has two small scars above his left elbow one on his right arm just below the Shoulder occasioned by a burn and one other just above his right knee occasioned by a cut was manumitted & set free after the thirty first day of December Eighteen hundred & twelve his person identified by the Oath of Ann Kennard (Seal) Test Wm H Nicholson Reg May 9th 1814 Queen Anns County |
