237 Maryland Queen Anns County Ss I hereby certify that a certain negro man named Phill now about twenty five years old five feet nine inches in hight and is of dark Complexion & without any particular marks or scars was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of a certain Robert Butler dated on the 8th day of February Eighteen hundred and thirty one and admitted to probat ^in my office^ on the thirtieth day of September Eighteen hundred and thirty four his freedom to commence on the first day of January Eighteen hundred and forty Six his person Identified by the evidence of a certain William Harper In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my office this 11th day of February 1846 Leml Roberts Regr wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County ss I hereby Certify that a certain negro man named Sam now about thirty ^two^ years of age Six feet & one inch in hight of rather dark Complexion ^whose^ left thumb ^has been^ injoured about the nail was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of a certain Elizabeth Maxwell dated on the 7th day of January 1831 and admitted to probat in my office on the 19th day of February 1831 his freedom to commence on the first day of January Eighteen hundred and forty Six his person identified by a certain William Biscoe In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my office this 6th day of March 1846 Leml Roberts Regr wills for Queen Anns County |
