236 Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a Certain negro man named Peregrine ^the issue of Slave Anna^ now about thirty one & a half Years old five feet seven inches high of light Complexion and has two remarkably large scars on his breast was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of a certain Feedmant Sliney dated on the 8th day of May 1805 and admitted to probat ^in my office^ on the 15th day of June 1805 his freedom to commence on the at the age of thirty Years his person Identified by the Evidence of a certain Pere Winchester In Testimony whereof I have hereunto (Seal) set my name and affixed the seal of my office this 9.th day of January 1846 Lem.l Roberts Reg.r wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain mulatto woman named Mary now about twenty seven years old five feet four and a quarter inches high and has the fore finger of her left hand broken was manumitted & set free by the last will and testament of a certain Philemon Spencer dated 19th June 1828 & admitted to probat in my office July 8th 1828 her freedom to commence at the expiration of the Year Eighteen hundred & forty four her person Identified by the Evidence of a certain Bennett Downes In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name & affixed the seal (Seal) of my office this 3rd day of February 1846 Leml Roberts Regr Wills for Queen Anns County |
