Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
          I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named
Maria about twenty Eight Years old five feet six and a
half inches high of dark complexion and has a Scar on
the right side ^of her neck^ and another on the back of her neck was
manumitted & set free by the last will and testament
of a certain Mary Miller dated 9th December 1825
and admitted to probat in my office on the 23rd day of
July 1828 her freedom to Commence on the 9th day of
December 1845 her person identified by the evidence
of a certain Jonathan Crane
                      In testimony whereof I have hereunto
    (Seal)         set my name & affixed the
                      seal of my office this 30th Dec.r 1854

                                        for Queen Anns County


State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
          I hereby Certify that a certain negro woman named
Rachael now about 37 Years of age five feet two inches
in hight of rather light complexion and has a scar on her
left temple and on the left side of her neck was manumitted
and set free by the last will and testament of a certain John
Keets dated June 6th 1837 and admitted to probat in my office
on the 27th day of February 1838 her freedom to commence at
the age of thirty five Years  her person identified by
the evidence of a certain Peter Foster
                         In testimony whereof I have hereunto
                         set my name and affixed the seal
                         of my office this 1st January 1846
