Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
          I hereby Certify that a certain Negro woman
named Mary ^now^ about 31 Years of age five feet      inches
n hight of ^rather light^ dark Complexion & has a scar on her ^Right^ left wrist
& another on her right hand was manumitted & set free
by the last will and Testament of a certain Rachael
Gleaves dated 9th december 1829 and admitted to probat in
my office on the 4th August 1835 her freedom to commence
on the 1st day of January 1841 her person
Identified by the Evidence of a certain George Spry
                      In testimony whereof I have hereunto
(Seal)             set my name and affixed the seal
                      of my office this 3rd June 1845

Maryland Qun Anns County to wit
I Do hereby certify that a certain Negro woman
named Caroline aged about thirty three years
is five feet 2½ inches high not very black no particular
scar was manumitted and set free by the
last will and Testament of a certain Benjamin
S Elliott dated 27.th day of December 1836 and
of January 1837 her freedom to commence
at the age of thirty years and her person idntified
by the evidence of a certain Mathias George
                 In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
    (Seal)    set my name and affixed the seal
                 of my office this 3rd day of June
                 June 1845
