State of Maryland Qun Ann County to wit
       I hereby certify that a certain negro woman
named Minta now about 28 years of age
light complexion has a scar on the end
of her right thumb five feet and three quarters
of an inch high was manumitted and set
free by the last will and Testament of
certain Margaret Lowry dated on the 25.th
day of May 1825 and admitted to probat in
my office March 3rd 1827 the said negro
to be free at the age of 28 years her person
Identified by the evidence of a certain
John Cook
                     In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
                set my name and and the seal
    (seal)   of my office affixed this 6.th day
                of May Anno Domini 1845

Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
          I hereby Certify that a certain Negro man
named James ^now about 30 years old^ of dark complexion five feet ten inches
high has a scar on his left arm near the elbow and
two small scars on his right hand  was manumitted
& set free by the last will & Testament
of a certain John Earickson dated the 2.nd January
1819 and admitted to probat in my office on the 5th
day of May 1821 his freedom to Commence at the
age of twenty Nine Years of age his person Identified
by his former master Benja W. Earrickson
                      In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
                      set my name & affixed the Seal of my
                      office this 6th day of May 1845
