    State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
I do hereby Certify that a certain Negro man named
Mosses now about thirty five Years of age five feet nine
and a half inches high of dark complexion and has a
small scar in his forehead  was manumitted and
set free by the last will and Testament of a certain
Caleb Spry dated on the sixth day of November Eighteen
hundred and twenty and admitted to probat in my office
on the nineteenth day of may Eighteen hundred & twenty
One   his freedom to commence on the first day of
January Eighteen hundred & forty one his person
Identified by the evidence of a certain Thomas Moore
                   In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
                   set my name and affixed the seal
(seal)           of my office this 6th day of January

                                           for Queen Anns County


State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
             I hereby certify that a certain negro man
named Stephen now about thirty five years of
age five feet seven and a half inches high of dark
complexion and has a scar on his left arm was
manumitted and set free by the last will and
Testament of a certain James Duhamel dated on
the twentieth day of August eighteen hundred and
sixteen and admitted to probat in my office on
the 29th September eighteen hundred and seventeen
And his person identified by the evidence of
a certain Marcellus E Keene
                                  In Testimony whereof I have
       (seal)                  hereunto set my name and affixed
                                 the seal of my office this 28.th
                                 day of January 1845
