State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
I do hereby certify that a certain negro man
names wesley about twenty three years of
age five feet nine and a half inches high
has a cut from an ax on his right foot very
much disfiguring his ^toe^ next to his great one
and of dark complexion was manumitted
and set free by the last will and Testament
of a certain Rachel Gleaves dated 9th day
of December 1829 and admitted to probate
in my office the 4.th Augt 1835 his freedom
to commence on the first day of January 1843
and his person Identified by a certain John
A Hall          In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
(seal)      set my name & affixed the seal
               of my office this 27.h day of march 1844

State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                I do hereby Certify that a certain negro man
named Austin ^now^ about 29 Years of age five feet
four and a quarter Inches high has a large
Scar on each leg and of dark Complexion
was manumitted and set free by the last
will and Testament of a certain Philip Feddeman
dated ^the^ 18th July 1821 and admitted to probat
in my office ^on^ the 22nd day of January 1822 his
Freedom to Commence when twenty Eight Years of
age his person Identified by a certain James Roe
                         In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
(Seal)                set my name & affixed the seal of my
                         office this 2nd day of March 1844
